Linguistics Department Institutional Review Board
The Linguistics Department has its own Institutional Review Board (IRB) now. The following faculty members are on the departmental IRB committee:
You can apply for IRB approval of your research project through the Linguistics Department. However, any projects involving Human Subjects that also involve a collaborator outside UIUC must be submitted for IRB approval to the University IRB. The Departmental IRB cannot handle such cases since the University requires that proof of IRB approval from the other institution be included in the application file.
